The main goal for this Atho777.com project is to introduce people to the mythology, lore and rites of the Coven of Atho a not so well known Wiccan path. It was created at the same time Gerald Gardner was developing his version of Wicca with Doreen Valiente but it did not become public till 1958. Due to infighting by members, attacks on Gardner's Wica, bad press and some law suits in the 1960's Atho Wicca faded away.
I created Atho777 or Roberto Paul Farmer as a fictional person to explore and reveal the secrets found in Atho Wicca. It is quite unique in that it is a mix of things Wiccan like Eight Sabbats, but also has some Traditional Witchcraft aspects like the Stang. It is different from both in that it has some very "New Age" ideas built around Atlantis. Another aspect of Atho Wicca is mediuship and spiritualism.
While most of the things I'm putting up are taken out of the material transcribed by Doreen Valiente from other witches like Charles Cardell and Raymond Howard I've expanded upon this foundation with some of my own creativity that was influenced by other occultists like Gerald Gardner, Aleister Crowley, Manly P. Hall, and Dion Fortune.

I'm not trying to create a tradition. I'm not initiated into any Coven of Atho. My main goal is to just preserve and pass on some bits of lore. One thing I've learned is that all Witchcraft and Wicca is eclectic. As a Witch you have to learn from your teachers be they some one in the flesh, or Mother Nature Herself. A witch down in New Orleans the heart and soul of the occult in the Americas once told me "You have to make Witchcraft your own." You truly do have to find your own path.
